I have been a dj for wedding receptions, proms and special events in Arkansas and Oklahoma for over two decades and have been in the disc jockey business in Arkansas and Oklahoma since 1980.

I became interested in being a disc jockey while visiting my uncle in North Carolina. He was a radio disc jockey there and took me on a tour of the station. I thought it was pretty neat and wanted to get into the business myself.

In 1980 my aunt who worked at the University Of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas told me about a summer radio program going on at the campus radio station (KUCA 91.5 FM) where people could get some experience in radio. I was still in High School and thought it would be pretty fun to do that for the summer. I took the course and made a demo tape to take to some local stations.

I got my first commercial radio DJ job at KZRK radio in my home town Ozark, Arkansas.

Over the next few years I worked at several other local stations including KLEO in Paris, Arkansas and KAYR/KXXI in Van Buren, Arkansas.

In the summer of 1984 I went to work on the air as an overnight disc jockey at Fort Smith Arkansas number one rated station "Country Lovin" 99.9 KTCS. I stayed at KTCS for over 18 years .. and did everything there from working on the air to voicing commercials and doing technical work on the equipment. It was a great experience and a bunch of fun as well! I was able to meet several country music artists Plus I got a bunch of free stuff too! lol

In 1992 I started my event dj business (KMC Entertainment) and things just took off from there. I have done over 1500 different dj events in the Fort Smith, Arkansas area! Wedding receptions, proms and school dances, family parties, music before concerts, company picnics and parties, department store shows and sales, clubs, fashion shows, town festivals and more.
